This web site was once where we posted our ‘Ship’s Log’.
Documenting our amazing sailing adventures starting with retrofitting & fitting out our Morgan Out Island ketch for our years of world cruising.
Follow the details of our voyage by starting at ‘Ship’s Log 2007+’
Describes the purchase of our boat in February 2004 & all the boat work until we departed for our world sailing adventures in November 2007 & the first nine months of cruising Mexico.
The New Ship’s log continues in Mexico 9-7-2008 & continues to end of our 20,000+ sailing adventures.
We spent a year & a half cruising Mexico to start with. We got to sailing to very remote places that have remained unchanged for millennium; we came across ancient living sites, caves & shell midden mounds... Spear fishing & trolling for fish, making our own water & power, living off the grid….
Waay off the grid ;-)
After our stay in Mexico we made a 3000-mile voyage to the Marquises,
A very tranquil & dreamy passage. From there was sailed west enjoying the Tuamotu archipelago, these were up to fairly recently called the ‘Dangerous Atolls’; low lying piles of dead coral just a few feet above the ocean,
So ya can’t see ‘em unless your dangerously close…& at night, even with radar they can’t be seen :-O So one’s navigation needs to be spot on!
We enjoyed many new, exiting & very remote atolls, truly at the ends of the world.
We then sailing on to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Suwarrow Island, Samoas, Tonga, New Zealand, more Tonga, Fiji….and finally selling our boat in New Zealand after sailing her all the way down to the south island.
We settled here on Maui after our sailing adventures where we have been blessed to continue the Wedding biz – The Maui Marrying Man.
Bobbie Jo officiates the Wedding Ceremonies as the Marrying Muse & I do the Professional Photography & Video; we perform wedding ceremonies on the beautiful tropical island beaches here or up in our tropical garden settings.
